Abstract

Refining Catalysts: United States

This report forecasts US refining catalyst demand in US dollars at the manufacturers' level and in metric tons to 2020. Total demand in dollars is segmented by material in terms of: zeolites, metals, and acids. Total demand in dollars is also segmented by application as follows: fluid catalytic cracking, hydroprocessing, alkylation, reforming, and other applications.

To illustrate historical trends, total demand in both value and volume terms is provided in annual series from 2005 to 2015; the various segments are reported at five-year intervals for 2010 and 2015. A Market Environment section provides pertinent background on historical trends, key economic indicators, environmental and regulatory factors, technology, and NAFTA demand. A Segmentation and Forecasts section defines materials and applications, discusses market drivers and constraints, identifies substitute products when applicable, and assesses the impact of key drivers and constraints on each material and application segment over the forecast period.

Further analysis includes an Industry Structure section, which surveys the supply base and identifies the leading firms competing to serve US demand. A one-page, introductory Highlights section summarizes key findings from this 25-page report, and a Resources section lists contributing sources as well as resources available for further research.
