Abstract

Cement: United States

This report forecasts to 2023 US cement demand and production in metric tons. Total demand is segmented by product in terms of: portland; blended; and other products such as fly ash and other pozzolanic cements, masonry cement, and specialty cements including high-alumina cement. Total demand is also segmented by market as follows: residential buildings; nonresidential buildings; and roads, bridges, and other nonbuilding construction.

To illustrate historical trends, total demand is provided in annual series from 2008 to 2018; production and the various segments are reported at five-year intervals for 2008, 2013, and 2018.

Excluded from the scope of this report are cement additives and clinker sold separately, as well as all types of non-hydraulic cementitious materials (e.g., asphalt or bitumen).

Key macroeconomic indicators are also provided with quantified trends. Other various topics, including profiles of pertinent leading companies, are covered in this report. A full outline of report items by page is available in the Table of Contents.
