Total demand is segmented by product in terms of: vinyl; fiber cement; stucco; wood; and other products such as brick, cement and stone, and metal panels. Total demand is also segmented by market as follows: new residential, residential renovation, and commercial.

To illustrate historical trends, total demand is provided in annual series from 2008 to 2018; the various segments are reported at five-year intervals for 2008, 2013, and 2018.

Commercial products such as curtain wall and storefronts that can be seen through are considered windows for purposes of this report. Opaque curtain wall is considered to be a siding product and is included in the other materials category.
